My campaign to save the South Downs

Protecting the South Downs

Our countryside is under threat.

Liberal Democrats and Greens who run our local councils have published plans to allow developers to build more homes in Ashington, Cowfold, Henfield, Partridge Green, Steyning, Pulborough, West Chiltington, Storrington, Sullington and Thakeham. They also plan to allocate gypsy and traveller sites to Codmore Hill, Thakeham, Storrington, West Chiltington, North Heath and Small Dole.

Many of our communities have already taken more than their fair share of development and local services and infrastructure are feeling the strain.  Together, we can fight back and push local councils to scrap these plans, stop building on new greenfield sites, and instead focus on existing brownfield land.

Fill in my survey below and join my campaign to save the South Downs.

Questions Very concerned Concerned Neutral Unconcerned Very unconcerned
Do you support building on existing brownfield first, before any development on greenfield land is considered?
Do you feel that local authorities are doing enough to protect green field land?
Do you support my call to stop further development on local green field land?
The only way to protect our countryside, greenfields, infrastructure, and services is to bring together local voices and make ourselves heard.  I have dedicated a great deal of my time to fighting over-development and holding local councils accountable.  You can help me with your support.
