South Downs MP, Andrew Griffith, says he is excited to support the Midhurst Jazz, Food and Blues Festival, after being invited by Festival Director Adam Page to help boost the profile of the event.
The inaugural event took place last November in the market town of Midhurst, with the 2026 programme being shaped up now. A culturally rich combination of events brings together a curated local food and wine experience with a programme of performances by musicians from around the world. Workshops, dance demonstrations, fringe performances and jam sessions will help broaden the reach of the Festival.
The market town of Midhurst was a deliberate choice for this boutique festival. It has a long-standing association with polo at the Cowdray Estate which brings important cultural links to Argentina, a country renowned for its jazz and blues music. The Festival is also helping to invigorate the beautiful market town at a time when businesses need a boost.
Andrew discussed the success and growth of the Festival with Adam and has agreed to champion it in his capacity as the local Member of Parliament.
Andrew Griffith said:
“I am personally happy to champion the Midhurst Jazz, Food and Blues Festival as precisely the type of event which will support Midhurst after a couple of difficult years and help put Midhurst on the map for even more visitors.”
